It was ok! Alot of our time was spent exchanging stupid stories from the last few months and generally goofing off but we messed around with a few covers and such, our timing has gotten alot better. Our issue is that we attempt songs that are a bit ambitious for guys who aren't 100% used to playing music together yet, so we've decided on doing simpler songs until we've got it down.
Question for ya, were you guys friends before you formed Raw Mojo, and when you did decide to start it up, did you find it hard to be serious with practice?

Question for ya, were you guys friends before you formed Raw Mojo, and when you did decide to start it up, did you find it hard to be serious with practice? When we started Raw Mojo Adam and I had already been friends since the 6th grade and had been in several bands together and when were weren't in the same band we would go to the others shows every time we could to show our support. Anyway, Nikki joined us blindly on an advert we put out because our bass player moved away and was getting out of music. This was in late 2007. As far as being serious in practice. There are days when nothing at all gets done and then there are days where we work our ass off, and then those where it's a bit of both. I think being in a band you have to be able to recognize the psychology of the room. There are going to be times where someone just isn't into it and wants to tell stories and goof off and those times can be really good for making a band tighter. If that is what's happening and is fun then let it fly. If there is a lull then maybe suggest you get down to business. Really though, getting to know and understand the people in your band translates into better communication on and off the stage so don't worry too much if a few practices seem like they are more talking than playing. In the end, music is all about telling stories and communicating to the audience and in practice you are your only audience.

Weekends do seem to be slow times on forums. I actually had a decently busy weekend for once. Go figure

Bought a mattress and ate some Olive Garden haha! I suppose that is something exciting when you become a boring old adult I had wanted to go see a movie but decided against it.

Well, if you are a fan of a good nights sleep like me a new mattress is very exciting! Lol
Are there any good movies out there right now? I heard the Hobbit is disappointing...

Well the mattress was just for the extra bedroom so nothing exciting. I've seen The Hobbit and actually liked it. It was a bit long and I don't think it needs to be split into 3 movies but it was enjoyable. I liked the book though so for someone who isn't a fan it might not be worth it.
I want to see Lincoln which I hear is great and also Djanjo Unchained.

I'll probably still check out The Hobbit too but maybe wait for the small screen version or until they are all out and watch them in succession.

Maybe I should tweet or something. Maybe make an illegal mp3, movies, and porn download section in the members only area?

Tweeting can be good. I honestly don't really know how all that works. I'm still living in the dark ages of email The illegal mp3s, movies, and porn will draw attention. They will also likely add perverts and creepers but at this point at least it would be someone!!
